FRIEND OF DOROTHY

The twilight of Judy Garland’s career captured in the musical ‘End of the Rainbow.’

Legend. Icon. Grande Dame.

Judy Garland was all those things. She was also erratic, addicted and losing her voice.

For its premiere of the London and Broadway hit, ACE Productions’ End of the Rainbow focuses on Judy’s last flame-out, a five-week engagement at London’s The Talk of the Town dinner theatre.

With her much younger husband and several pill bottles in tow, Judy barrelled through her gigs — often arriving on stage over an hour late and with audiences throwing trash at her. In six months, she’d be dead.

The musical stars Janet Gigliotti (pictured), who takes on all of Judy’s iconic hits, including The Trolley Song, The Man That Got Away, and of course, Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

The ol’ gal’s still got it…
