CHEAP AND CHEERFUL
Modern housewares giant CB2 bring a hit of affordable urban American style to Robson Street.
Sleek, contemporary and a little edgy, that’s the look at the 12,500-square-foot CB2 Robson Street store that opened this past Friday (pictured). The cooler, city-dwelling little brother of Crate and Barrel, CB2 is known for its high-concept design — at mid-level pricing. Think sophistication and price points somewhere between IKEA’s suburban big boxes and LivingSpace’s gorgeous showroom in the Armoury District.
We love the retro-industrial design aesthetic, liberally sprinkled with sustainable wood, ’70s-style peekaboo acrylic coffee tables, and bedroom consoles made of concrete (No, really), but we fell hard for their enormous selection of totally cute and ridiculously inexpensive tableware. We’re already planning our next cocktail party thanks to these, this, these and our favourites, these guys.
We saved so much on the glasses, we’re only going to put the good stuff in them from now on.
