British menswear label Thomas Pink opens its first Vancouver location at Holt Renfrew.
Pink is our favourite colour — for obvious reasons. And when it comes to shirts, cufflinks and ties, Thomas Pink is one of our favourite labels. So when we heard that the London-based brand had opened its first Vancouver boutique on the menswear floor at Holt Renfrew, we were tickled… Well, you know.
Founded in 1984 by a trio of Irish brothers, the company that would come to be known as “The British Shirt Authority” was named after an 18th century London haberdasher known for popularizing the iconic red jackets worn in fox hunting. Although a deep scarlet, the coats were called “pink” in honour of their creator. Today, Thomas Pink is renowned for the quality and crispness of its immaculately finished, two-fold cotton shirts, like the Winchester (pictured), that pair just as easily with three-piece suits as they do with dirty denim.
With all the holiday parties coming up, we’re definitely going to think (you guessed it) Pink.
