COQTAIL OF THE MONTH
It’s Coqtail Time, that magical last Friday of the month when we introduce you to yet another fabulous libation from Vancouver’s finest restaurants and watering holes.
This month, Royal Dinette‘s Kaitlyn Stewart captures the spirit of spring (and not a moment too soon) with the Bittersweet Symphony.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
0.75oz Gin (Wallflower, Odd Society)
0.5oz Bittersweet vermouth (Odd Society)
0.25 Hibiscus syrup (recipe here)
0.5oz Grapefruit juice
0.25oz Tonic syrup*
1 dash of green strawberry bitters
top with soda water
hibiscus buds and dried citrus for garnish
*You can replace the house made tonic syrup with bottled tonic water. If you do this, skip the soda water
Combine all ingredients (except soda) into a shaker
Fine strain into a Burgundy wine glass over ice
Top with soda
Garnish with hibiscus buds and dried citrus
