EATING OUT: GET ME TO THE GREEK

EATING OUT: GET ME TO THE GREEK

The Greek by Anatoli opens in Yaletown.

An offshoot to North Van’s iconic Anatoli Souvlaki, The Greek by Anatoli has brought Greek mezze-style dishes to the downtown core.

Brothers Iani and Alexi Makris, sons of Anatoli’s founding family, have joined forces with Executive Chef Scott Robertson (The Westin Resort & Spa in Whistler) to infuse an international flavour into traditional Greek cuisine.

Classics like the slow-braised Country Lamb are balanced alongside new items like the must-try Rabbit Popsicles (rabbit loin wrapped in double smoked bacon and stuffed with house made lamb sausage, pictured).

In keeping with its Yaletown address, ingredients like fig, honey, and Greek yogurt are shaken and stirred into craft cocktails behind the bar.

It’s all (great) Greek to us.
