EATING OUT: GOOD HEAD

EATING OUT: GOOD HEAD

Tap into The Settlement Building’s Tankfarm Series 4.

The Settlement Building in Railtown is something of a one-stop shop. It’s the headquarters for the city’s only downtown vintner, Vancouver Urban Winery, houses the tanks and barrels for Postmark Brewing and hosts the insanely popular food programme at Belgard Kitchen. It has wifi and even a super-comfy couch — there’s literally no reason to ever leave.

And now there’s another excuse to hit them up: the return of the popular Tankfarm Series. Next week’s  Tankfarm Series 4: Ale of a time promises a tasting menu collaboration hosted by Postmark Brewmaster Dominic Giraldes and Belgard Chef Andrew Hounslow.

Guests will be invited to tour the tank and barrel room (where the beer is made) and experience four session ales paired with an accompanying dish. Think: Postmark’s Mosaic IPA served with Curried Crab and Mango on Taro Chips or Belgian Golden Ale highlighting Banana Thyme Whoopie Pie with Dulce de Leche Cream Cheese. (There’s also going to be tastings of Mandarina Wheat Ale and Cascadian Dark Ale, with bites, in between.)

Tickets won’t last long, so hop to it.
