Get ready to dine in style at these upcoming one-off foodie events.

It’s tough to get back to work after an extra day off (or two). Having a treat to look forward to certainly helps. Here are a few fabulous foodie events this month and next that will help get you over the hump:

TONIGHT
Low Country Seafood Boil at Mamie Taylor’s (pictured)
Also part of Top Drop Vancouver, this family style, traditionally Cajun boil features spot prawns, crab, potatoes, corn and okra and will be accompanied by five wines from Portugal, Italy, Australia and the U.S. 251 E. Georgia St., 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Tickets $100 online.

MONDAY, MAY 29
All Inclusive Barbarian’s Feast at The Cascade Room
Kentucky-style pig roast featuring an 80-pound, whole roasted pig, sausages, lamb chops, roast beef, turkey, wings, game hens, pork ribs and at least one vegetable. Beer and Jim Beam included. 2616 Main St., 7pm to 10pm. Tickets $99 online

MONDAY, MAY 29
Belgian Showcase at BierCraft Bistro
Sample 15 draft and bottle Belgian beers and avail yourself of the poutine bar. 33o5 Cambie St., 6:30pm to 11pm. Tickets $79 online

THURSDAY, JUNE 1
Martini Night Fundraiser at Yaletown Brewing Company
Get three cocktails for $10 at the Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association’s annual spirited fundraiser. 1111 Mainland St., 8pm to 11pm. $10 at the door.

FRIDAY, JUNE 2
CANFAR Dinner in Vancouver on the TELUS Garden Rooftop
The first-ever dinner in support of CANFAR’s national HIV/AIDS work, featuring grazing stations by The Lazy Gourmet and sponsored bar by The Fountainhead Pub. 510 W. Georgia St., 7pm. Tickets $250 online

THURSDAY, JUNE 15
Project Empty Bowl
Twentieth anniversary year of the fundraiser for A Loving Spoonful where guest get a handmade ceramic bowl and refill it at several dining stations. Coast Coal Harbour Hotel, 1180 W. Hastings St., 6pm to 10pm. Tickets $100 online
