GO FOR THE GOAT

Follow our lead down Blood Alley to Judas Goat.
Follow our lead down Blood Alley to Judas Goat.
We’ve always been a fan of Salt Tasting Room and now there’s another reason to head down Blood Alley with the arrival of Judas Goat.
The newest addition to Sean Heather’s Gastown empire, this tiny 28-seat tapas bar serves up a mix of tasty small plates influenced by Spain, Italy, France, and beyond. Our faves were the Warm Lamb Cheek with Savoy Cabbage & White Truffle Oil ($8); Potted Prawns with Pistachio Butter ($7); and Foie Gras with Rhubarb Foam ($9), but with most dishes in the $6 to $9 range, it’s easy to eat your way through most of the menu.
The name comes from the resident goats trained to make nice with the other animals to coax them towards the slaughterhouse. But don’t worry, following us to Judas Goat will end in a far more delicious outcome.
