HAPA DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN

Hapa Izakaya opens its third location, in Yaletown.

Dear Hapa Izakaya,

Ever since Shiru Bay left, there’s been a piece of me missing. There’s been no ebi for my mayo, no negitoro for my garlic toast and no sake for my chilled bamboo. And lately I’ve been feeling overrun with casual chain restaurants.

But that all changed last week when you came into my life. When you scream “Irasshaimase!” it makes me feel alive again!

You’ve brought the wasabi back to my tako, the matcha back to my crème brulée and the sear back to my saba.

I can’t thank you enough.
