Two Rivers Meats opens their first storefront, “The Shop.”

Two Rivers Specialty Meats, supplier of ethical and sustainable meat to pretty much every decent restaurant in town, has opened its first public-facing butcher shop and eatery: The Shop.

Located inside the company’s North Vancouver headquarters, The Shop is part traditional working butchery complete with a glass-walled dry-age room, part European-style deli and take-away counter and a 32-seat, eat-in restaurant.

And for any burger lovers out there, Chef Tony Starratt’s 60-Day Dry-Aged Burger (pictured) with a side of hand-cut fries cooked in beef tallow might be the best we’ve ever had in this city. Worth the trek up to the North Shore.
