Davie Street’s Mis Trucos kicks off patio season this weekend.

Tucked above the flower shop beside Shopper’s Drug Mart on Davie, Mis Trucos may be easy to miss. Even tougher to spot from the street is their tranquil patio behind the restaurant – a true West End oasis. This Sunday, Mis Trucos will kick-off patio season with a Spring BBQ to benefit the Give a Better Life Foundation, which supports organizations like the Vancouver Downtown Eastside Aboriginal Mother Centre.

$50 (inclusive of tax and tip) gets you all the tapas you can eat; R&B beer, Mis Trucos’ sangria and Hendrick’s Gin cocktails; and a BBQ spread that includes beef ribs, wild salmon, sausages and roast suckling pig.

So feel free to pig out (quite literally) for a good cause.
