SEAT SALE

Grab your spot for deeply discounted dinners when reservations for the 10th annual Dine Out Vancouver Festival go live Monday morning.
You snooze, you lose this Monday.
Specifically, you’ll miss out on a sale-priced seat at one of the city’s top restaurants for the 10th annual Dine Out Vancouver.
Running 17 days from Jan. 20 to Feb. 5, Dine Out Vancouver 2012 is Canada’s largest dining festival featuring three-course (or four) prix-fixe menus from 225 different restaurants. Choose from old favourites like West, Maenam and CinCin, familiar neighbourhood haunts like Provence, Chambar and Le Gavroche or slick new spots such as Black & Blue, Chinois and Cento Notti. Each restaurant’s special menu will be priced at one of three levels: $18, $28 or $38 per person.
Even the trendiest and most sought-after rooms in town, L’Abattoir (EnRoute magazine’s number three restaurant in Canada) and fine-dining mecca Hawksworth (pictured) have signed up with three-course samplers for a mere $38. (You could spend nearly that much on an entree alone — and it would still be worth every penny.)
A full list of participating restaurants as well as the online reservation system go live Monday, Jan. 9 at 6 am on the Tourism Vancouver website.
So remember: Early to bed, early to dine.
