When PINQ launched last Spring, the Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival had already sold out and tickets were only available on Craigslist. But this time around, you get plenty of advance notice.

For you wine connoisseurs, you already know that this is Vancouver’s premier wine event (and this year is bigger and better with 14 countries represented by nearly 200 wineries). For you wine newbies, here’s your chance to get your drink on with over 1700 wines from around the world.

Only 1000 discounted advance tickets for the International Festival Tasting Rooms are available (the remainder will go on sale in February 2010), and they just went on sale yesterday.

So this year, there’s no reason to whine … and 1700 reasons to wine.
