Eclectic, edgy and energetic describe both the food at Bin 941 and the man behind it all, Chef Gord Martin.
Innovative small plates, with influences from Chef Martin’s travels around the world are served alongside an expertly selected wine and beer list. The menu is divided into “Tapatisers” and “Tongue Twisters” (we’ve never been able to figure out the difference, but the food’s so good we’ve never really cared). Signature dishes include the Jumbo Digby Bay Scallop & Tiger Prawn Tournedos with Cucumber Salsa and Bonito Butter Sauce ($16), Angus Beef Tenderloin Phyllo Wellington with Red Wine & Grainy Mustard Pan Jus ($16), East West Crab Cakes with Burnt Orange Chipotle Sauce, ($16) and Goat Cheese & House Dried Tomato Salsa with Navajo Fry Bread ($8).
Bin 941′s countless awards prove that it’s one of the top restaurants in the gay village (if not the city). Expect your tastebuds to be amazed and expect to wait for a table – they don’t take reservations. But don’t worry, it’s worth it.
