Get in the holiday spirit with Coco’s 11th Annual Christmas Show.

Christmas just isn’t Christmas without the traditions we build and cherish — whether it’s the perfect tree, a family recipe for cranberry sauce or a dude in a sequined gown lip synching to Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

For one Davie Street watering hole, that last one is the most important Yuletide tradition of all.

This Saturday at the Fountainhead Pub, Coco’s Christmas Show (poster pictured) celebrates its 11th year as the gaybourhood’s reigning holiday event. With over two hours of holiday-themed performances from the city’s top drag queens — including Coco (of course) and Carlotta Gurl’s infamous, X-rated, live-mic version of “Santa Baby” — it’s a show that’s bound to put a little extra stuffing in your stocking. As if that weren’t enough, organizers and PINQ’s very own editor, Steven Schelling, will be raffling off booze, restaurant gift certificates, Canucks box seats, a Whistler weekend, a custom snowboard and more to benefit A Loving Spoonful and the Vancouver Food Bank.

Performances and prizes? It’s the gift that keeps on giving.
