It’s Pride Week. Get in gear with these pre-Pride events.

SEAT SALE
A Loving Spoonful Pancake Breakfast and Judging Deck VIP Tickets
What: Only a handful of VIP seats are left for viewing the Pride Parade on the judge’s deck.
When: Sunday, 9 am to noon, with parade to follow.
Why: Why stand in the street when you can rise above it all?
Where: Whole Foods Market (1675 Robson St.).
How much: $50 online.

TUNE IN
Name That Tune Bingo
What: Bingo and Broadway-themed fundraiser for the Dr. Peter Centre, hosted by Vera Way.
When: Monday, 8 pm to 10 pm.
Why: Show tunes and show offs.
Where: Cascade Room (2616 Main St.).
How much: Free admission. Bingo cards $2 each.

BREW DO
R&B G’Ale Tasting
What: In-store launch and tasting of G’Ale, R&B brewing’s official Vancouver Pride Society beer.
When: Tuesday, 4 pm to 7 pm.
Why: A percentage of every bottle sold this year benefits the Vancouver Pride Society.
Where: Legacy Liquor Store (1633 Manitoba St., Olympic Village).
How much: Free.

WE ARE FAMILY
Family Feud
What: Barb Snelgrove’s annual Family Feud game played by employees of local Davie Street bars and businesses.
When: Tuesday, 8 pm.
Why: Survey says…
Where: Junction Pub (1138 Davie St. ).
How much: Free.

SUMMER NIGHTS
Grease
What: Outdoor screening of the ultra-campy 1978 musical starring a young, hot, hot, hot John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John (pictured).
When: Tuesday, 9 pm-ish (sunset)
Why: target=”_blank”>Oh, those Summer Nights…
Where: Second Beach, Stanley Park
How much: Free.

DRAG-ON’S DEN
Pride Bingo for Life and DMS Imperial Drag Show
What: The biggest “Bingay” night of the year followed by a charity dragstravaganza with a dozen queens and kings, hosted by Empress Regent XLI, CoCo.
When: Wednesday, 8 pm.
Why: “O 69!”
Where: Celebrities Nightclub (1022 Davie St.).
How much: $5 after 10 pm. $10 suggested donation for bingo cards.

PUMPED UP
Pride Movie Night: Kinky Boots
What:
 Screening of British comedy about a drag queen who saves a British shoe factory from closing.
When: Wednesday, 7 pm.
Why: These boots are made for more than just walking.
Where: Denman Cinema (1737 Comox St.)
How much: $16 online with proceeds to benefit the VPS.
