Florence and the Machine
What: Outdoor concert by the British indie-rock band.
When: Friday, 7 pm.
Why: Florence (pictured) is the new Bjork! (Only we can understand what she sings!)
Where: Deer Lake Park (6450 Deer Lake Ave., Burnaby).
How much: online.
Picnic in the Park
What: Annual family-friendly picnic and games day hosted by the Vancouver Pride Society.
When: Saturday, 11 am to 6 pm.
Why: Get the first taste of Pride’s official beer, R&B’s Golden Ale.
Where: Brocton Oval in Stanley Park.
How much: Free (Beer and BBQ extra, of course).
Christmas in July
What: Christmas-themed dragstravaganza at the weekly B-You dance party.
When: Saturday, 9pm to 3 am.
Why: Ho Ho Hos love unwrapping big packages?

’90s Sunday T-Dance
What: ’90s-themed afternoon dance.
When: Sunday, 3pm to 11 pm.
Why: Backstreet’s Back, biatches!
