THINKING PINK 365

THINKING PINK 365

TD celebrates Pink Shirt day with $150,000 for Out in Schools to open hearts and minds in schools across BC.

When it comes to inclusion, TD has rightfully earned a reputation as one of Canada’s most LGBTQ-friendly brands, and their commitment to the community continues 365 days a year through funding, partnerships and employee volunteerism. And today is no exception …

As students across BC put on pink shirts today to take a stand against bullying, TD has announced that it’s committing $150,000 to help Out in Schools as they tackle homophobia and transphobia in schools across the province.

The new funding comes just as Out in Schools hits an impressive milestone – reaching 100,000 youth since its inception.

Demand for Out in Schools programs has tripled over the last five years. The three-year investment, which doubles TD’s previous support, will help Out in Schools take its much-needed work into BC’s rural communities and expand its curriculum to include elements that focus on Indigenous and Two-Spirit identities.

Thanks to the bank that celebrates Pride 365 days a year, Out in Schools can help ensure that our schools are inclusive for queer, trans and Two-Spirit students, not just on Pink Shirt Day, but every day.
