Three ways to show your support for World AIDS Day.

Today is World AIDS Day.

It’s a day to remember lives lost, celebrate medical advancements in HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment and show support for men, women and children living with illness. Here are three ways you can show your support today:

A LOVING SPOONFUL’S WORLD AIDS DAY LUNCHEON | Terminal City Club (837 W. Hastings St.) | 11:30am to 2pm
Annual luncheon hosted by A Loving Spoonful with emcee Jonny Staub and a keynote by Johnny Average. Tickets $180 each online

BEYOND SKIN DEEP | Carnegie Community Centre (401 Main St.) | 5:45pm
Community forum to share their stories, learn about updates in research, treatment and education and most of all, to remember those whom we have lost to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. World AIDS Day at the Carnegie is open from 10am – 9pm with presentations from service organizations for people living with HIV. Free.

RED RIBBON AWARDS | The Junction (1138 Davie St. | 6pm to 9pm
AIDS Vancouver presents Red Ribbon Awards to individuals and organizations who have had a significant impact on HIV care and reduction in Vancouver. Free.
