For those of us with furry friends (not the ones you met at the Pumpjack), vacations always come with the added stress of finding a suitable petsitter or locking your poor pooch in a kennel. But now, there’s a far more fabulous option!

The Jet Pet Resort is Canada’s first luxury airport hotel for pets. Located right next to YVR, the facility features over 8,000 square feet of everything a prissy pup could want, including private rooms, indoor and outdoor play areas (complete with a doggy hot tub), an exercise room (yes, doggy treadmills) and full bathing and grooming facilities (aka the doggy spa). And for those with feline friends, the cat wing features private enclosures and a cat lounge with all the comforts of home, including sofas, pillows, climbing platforms and plenty of toys. Jet Pet keeps the staff to pet ratio low, so in addition to getting a nicer hotel than you, you know your pet is also getting plenty of love.

While the $1000/night rock star package might be a bit of a stretch, basic rooms start at $49/night for dogs and $20/night for cats, and with drop-off and pick-up available 24 hours a day, you don’t have to pay for extra days. Drop your pet off before you fly and pick it up when you land – it’s the prrrfect way to vacation!
