The Canadian Cheese Rolling Festival rolls into Whistler/Blackcomb this Saturday.
Emmental you something:
The Canadian Cheese Rolling Festival is back and it’s Stilton as mindbogglingly strange as it ever was.
This Saturday at noon, dozens of Limburger lovers, Feta fanciers and Asiago aficionados will chase an 11-pound wheel of BC Boerenkaas cheese down the slope of Blackcomb mountain (pictured) for bragging rights (Really? OK…) and two season ski passes.
As we’ve Harvarti told you in years past, it’s an all-day affair with tastings, cooking demos and other cheesy events like cheese bowling (sure, why not?) and special menus at several Whistler restos.
A Gouda time will be had by all.
(Wow! We really milked that one!)
THE CANADIAN CHEESE ROLLING FESTIVAL
